well the series does cater to the least common denominator in order to appeal to the largest possible audience, so it stands to reason that the strong majority of players will take advantage of every noob crutch thats available. what, were you expecting to see some balls from this community? lol no, besides i believe that would be called kiddie porn
Out of chaos and disorder comes the New World Order
KSG beats it 9 times out of 10 in close quarters range. DSR is the only sniper rifle worth using if you can aim. It has absolutely nothing on an ACOG. You'd be better off with a FAL. Poor hit detection in general makes rush-sniping incredibly fickle.
The sights themselves are huge and provide terrible sight, the swat is too severe and you cannot hold breath to steady. All of that eliminates its range (IE the whole ****ing point of a sniper) and it scopes in and re-chambers at the same speed so it provides to CQC advantage.
I know i was pretty excited about the ballista irons before i actually put them to use.
That said, i have maxed the ballista and equipped the irons, and have done relatively not bad with it. One thing is for certain...you will never get good with it unless your using it. Since my ballista is maxed i'm running it in hopes of getting alot better.
It almost seems to increase hipfire spread reduction also, though i can't confirm. I have gotten some really great kills with the irons and it felt very rewarding. Killing multiples @ midrange with the ballista irons is def rewarding in it's own right.
No, no, the Vagrant Story is not for sale. Now Playing: Black Ops II/Tekken Tag 2/Civilization V/Skyrim/HoMM3
Here's what happened: they made it an attachment. Iron Sight is quite literally an attachment that downgrades your ability to do well, as you can't control sway. Also, unlike select fire FAL / SMR, which also nerf your potential while using up an attachment, average players can actually see and feel that it nerfs the Ballista as soon as they use it.
As for myself: I wanted unscoped sniping to be an attachment-free option on all sniper rifles, but I ended up disappointed.
