9/10

All the hate it gets doesn't change the fact that this is a great game in a stale series

Thank you. The game itself is not a BAD game, it's retty good. But the format and style has become a little stale, plus it makes small changes, and with a community this size, everyone likes to moan about the small change this game or that patch used to have....

Waiting for Mirrors Edge 2 and a new 'proper' Shining Force.

It's a 10/10 when I'm dominating a lobby, a 5/10 when I'm doing average, and a 0/10 when I'm getting destroyed by a clan.

On GameFAQs, I rate this game 5/5 to counter the people who gave it 0.5/5 for nothing.

In reality, I would give it 8.9/10. I give it this high because the campaign satisfied me and the new features Treyarch has added has satisfied me (new campaign features, Tranzit [but I don't like the maps that much], upcoming Turned for Zombies, Mute All in multiplayer, Pick 10 System classes, Nuketown 2025 [w/ a cool easter egg]). If they fix their issues in the multiplayer (including lag and spawns), I will raise my rating from 8.9/10 to 9.5/10. Currently my favorite CoD game on console but WaW (PC) is my number 1 favorite.

Mute all in multiplayer is nice, but it shouldn't be a factor on judging a game. Same goes for an UNRELEASED game mode. And if a game has bad lag and spawns, it should never get a score as high as a 8.9

This. Except I still haven't had a lag problem.

Honestly the only thing that heavily brought this game down was the maps. It's hard to believe these are the same peeps that made black ops 1.

The pick 10 system is IMO the best addition to the series thus far, and my favorite aspect of the multiplayer experience.

This + lag

I personally think that BO II has the best campaign since CoD 4, I would rate it at least a 7.5/10 in that regard.

As others have said, the MP has great potential but poor netcode and poor maps really hamper the experience.
