the maps were really good but the core gameplay was really bad

CoD4 and MW2 were the best recent Call of Duty titles and that's all I've got to say about that.

CoD4 was the best because the guns were balanced and with the exception of a few perks, had none of the bullsh*t that MW2 introduced. You don't need to be nostalgic to see that the game was well put together and thought out.

Nostalgia.

There was never a multiplayer like CoD4's before it came out, every iteration is just an update to 4's formula.

MW2 was just way more fun even though there was much more stupid crap in it. IMO.

MW2 and black ops are the beat cods. Black ops 2 is fun but not better. It doesnt test skill its just about holding your head above the water as long as possible because TTK is redic
