Why don't people prestige at least once?

I never used to prestige, but in Blops 2 I've already prestiged twice and am very nearly about to prestige again. The reason before was that prestige would reset everything, weapons, attachments... everything.
But not so this time around, now my weapons remain at precisely the level they were at before I prestiged, keeping all attachments and camo unlocks, so I figured "why not?"

Wait; so what does prestiging actually reset, then?

Your level and unlocks. You keep all camos, challenges, and attachments, so once you get to the level you can unlock a particular weapon it will be at the level with all of the attachments you had prior to prestiging.

But you can't use the weapon at all until you re-reach it's unlock level? If so, that's BS. IMO,

Because those of us who have a life and can't play 8 hours a day, don't want to go through the BS of unlocking everything over and over again. Honestly, whoever thought that prestiging scheme up should be taken out and shot...

You don't need to be on and play this game 8 hours a day to prestige. You can play two hours a day and prestige just as fine. Prestiging is actually how the developers could get people to play MORE. What is the point of playing a game and getting to the max level within a few days?

Just because people have high prestige levels doesn't mean they don't have a life. It just means coD is the only form of entertainment these people prefer to do after they're done with work or school. Ignorance should be considered in the same class as death and taxes.

Well, I've had this since the end of November, and I haven't even reached 55. I'm lucky if I get 2-4 hours 2-3 nights/ week.
