Is the FAL with select fire still worth getting?

Was using the FAL with select fire before i quit playing,now that i am picking th egame back up im hearing they did something to make it not even worth using anymore.Is this true?

It depends on how good you are at controlling/ ignoring recoil. Some people say it's still very manageable, others seem to think otherwise. The hipfire spread on it sucks now, though.

Pretty sure i was just using short controlled bursts while aiming down the sights,i am not worried about hip fire.

I never bothered with select fire as i can get better control shooting it manually down the sight. Hip fire does such now though...
