frankly, it's disappointing. There's basically the ksg (that gimmick sniper shotgun), the r870, and then the saigaexe1216

now according to treyarch they raised the m1216's upclose damage slightly. Hmmm that just makes the m1216 a closer clone of the saiga12 than it already was. And they say they raised the executioner's intermediate damage which was 10. That's weird though, raising that just makes it's damage profile look more and more like the saiga12. So the saiga12, m1216, and executioner all take 4/8 pellets to kill up close, 17/8 pellets to kill at range and all fire at 468 rpm. Really treyarch? That's the best you could come up with?
this game deserves a better class of shotgun, and i'm gonna give it to em

Not sure why you're combining the S12 and M1216. They function pretty differently. The KSG on the other hand barely even functions as a shotgun, so I consider there to be only 3 shotguns in this game anyway.

With the M1216's damage boost up close he's saying that the S12 is close enough to damage to be the same gun. When actually, the S12's damage drop off at range feels larger to make up for it's ability to pump out lead steadier making the M1216 more forgiving when you're caught while the S12 is more ammo efficient with, I want to say, better room clearing capability.

not only do the saiga12, m1216, and executioner all take 4/8 pellets to kill up close, 17/8 pellets to kill at range, all all fire at 468 rpm, they all start dropping off from the same distance, and all reach their minimum damage at the same distance. That's just lazy
