Killed by Die Rise elevator shaft glitch, is there a way to avoid this?

I was playing Die Rise with a buddy and when I dropped down the elevator shaft my guy glitched out and got caught on/in something, which killed him after about 1 or 2 seconds. It was on the last "slide" before you get to the AN-94, and we were on round 20ish, so I was making sure to be pretty careful. I've gone down into that area at least 50 times since I've gotten the DLC, so it's not just me being a noob and ****ing up the jump timing.

I'd hate to have a game where I lose all my stuff on round 30+ just because of a stupid glitch that randomly happens, is there currently a way to avoid it or do I just have to hope that they patch it?

The last slide? Do you jump or just kinda fall/walk off? I've never had this happen to me, but I've seen other people complain about it.

I've drawn two conclusions:

1. It is a glitch and is not something we as a user can control. I really hope this isn't the case, but it could be true.

2. Before I make the jump now, I've always made sure I'm at 100% health. I haven't run into the glitch since. Is this luck? Possibly, but hey, superstitions are great when they work.

Honestly I don't really remember, I have a tendency to do both.

I was being extra careful to make sure I had 100% health when I made the jump, so I don't think it's that. Who knows though, maybe I was at like ~99% and I just didn't know

Okay, so it just happened to me again.

I had full health with juggernog, I ran (not sprinted) into the middle of the last slope and it downed me at the bottom
