I only put these options as that's what I see people using the most, honestly. If you prefer another scheme, please post it.
Default lets you panic melee easier, but Tactical lets you go prone easier, which also allows you to dropshot easier. (v_v).

Tactical for a while now.

Default because dropshotting is for losers. --- Anyone who supports DLC of any kind deserves a swift kick to the balls... repeatedly. Take a stand! Stop giving companies extra pocket money.

I run default. I tried running tactical to dropshot easier, but I died in situations where I would usually knife so I switched back. I'd really like to learn to play claw so it won't matter.

Tactical because it puts crouch on the same control as BF3 default so I don't get screwed up switching between games. --- Beast Mode! http://tinyurl.com/c8noad6

Because of MH I already play "claw" style, and when I try to play on tactical I accidentally knife when I'm trying to go prone to defuse/plant --- GT: Men At Wok http://www.facebook.com/constructs

I use tactical.
Not so I can drop shot, but because there were too many times where I'd be trying to aim at someone and accidentally swing my knife and die. :( --- MY BAND DOESN'T EXIST WE'VE HAD TWO SONGS FOR LIKE SIX MONTHS

Knifing is for scrubs. --- I don't care.

Tactical just because I feel it makes your movements much more fluent and keeps your thumbs on the sticks. --- Andy Reid thought he was going to KFC not KC. :)
