How do you feel about silencers on LMGs?

You guys pretty much confirmed exactly what I was thinking. If the damage drop-off is negligible then I'll definitely put it on.

Question 2: What about ghost? LMGs slow you down so much that there's a pretty good chance that you won't be moving fast enough to hide from UAVs, do you think it's still worth keeping on?

I also use Ghost with it, stock is enough to keep you off radar when moving/strafing in ADS. I rush with LMG and play them like I would with an AR. I use Stock + Silencer + Quick Draw, and for Perks I go Ghost + Toughness + Dex.

The HAMR with a silencer sounds like the Lawgiver 2 from Judge Dredd. The Stallone one.. it was on tv the other night. Watched it for Armand Assante at his best.

Other:

I think it's hilarious that anything beyond a .22 LR suppressed pistol or at most a suppressed 9mm Beretta with subsonic rounds would ever make you 'invisible on the mini map.'

Obviously, comparing CoD to real life is idiotic, but the primary use of a suppressor is to increase situational awareness, not be ninja quiet and undetected.

Watching any actual footage of firing outdoors down range with any suppressed firearm that packs a serious round will demonstrate that you can still hear the crack of the shot echo for miles in every direction.

So, the idea of a suppressor making an LMG quiet...is outright absurd to me.

IMO Hitman Absolution is the first game to really force players to realize that suppressed weapons make noise and alert guards.

I see what you are saying, but even so the suppressed guns in this game are really loud. If their only benefit was to reduce sound they would be worthless since people can hear suppressed fire so easy.

Yeah a suppressor is just the way to give the players the option of appearing on the radar or not. Whether it's realistic or not it doesnt really matter because this is the way to bring that element into the game that makes the most sense.

I love the silencer on the LSAT...Not so much on the HAMR. Seems to take away some of the punch that it packs.

Yeah I don't know if there's a suppressor that could take 100 rounds of uninterrupted firing either, but there also aren't people who can recover in five seconds because they were only shot in the head once.
