The amp is built into the sub box already. What used to have me thinking back in the day was a lot of speakers would say they could handle 300 watts. But I never seen a single receiver put out that kind of power. I think the most I have seen per channel is around 150 watts. I wouldn't even know where to go to buy an amp for home theater. But if you google high end home audio there is some really expensive stuff out there.
