So... why are people already assuming the next Cod is MW4?

Is there any evidence that points towards it? I know before the pattern went:

IW (Cod) -> IW (Cod2) -> 3ARC (Cod3) -> IW (Cod4) -> 3ARC (Waw) -> IW (MW2) -> 3ARC (BO) -> IW/SH (MW3) -> 3ARC (BO2)

The thing is though, Sledgehammer games and Neversoft are both thrown into the mix now. (Aren't Raven and a few others involved as well?)

Hasn't Sledgehammer already gotten a start on their new game before MW3 was in development? Isn't it pretty likely that they would finish that game that was supposed to be worked on while MW3 was worked on?

Modern warfare was a trilogy. Didn't they go ahead and patent something like "future space wars" or some bs? It won't be modern warfare 4

I think I heard this somewhere, but I can't recall where I saw it.

If only the original IW did MW3. We would've been able to see how the creators of the series intended that the modern warfare trilogy be ended. But no, we got stuck with a horrible story that was MW3.

I don't think too many people care about the Modern Warfare story line as much as they do the multiplayer. They really should change it up, I mean how many more modern weapons, attachments, killstreaks can they add.

I thought MW4 was already confirmed? I don't keep up with gaming news until the game is close to release, but I remember hearing that the voice actor for captain Price confirmed it.

Its going to be IW, no doubt. Sledge may help, and Raven has tagged along in each entry since BOps1.
