The TAC has a 2 shot kill at close range, so you can just double-tap everyone. The Five-Seven has a big ass 20 round mag, and more spamability.
I use 'em both, depends on my mood really.

The Tac-45 feels better in close quarters, IMO while the Five-Seven is great for greater distances
Last I checked (pre map pack patch. no clue if pistols were buffed/nerfed), both the FS and 45 are both 2 shot close up. 45 has a longer 2 shot range, but with the FS's 20 round mag I usually just end up using that. I hated the way the FS felt and sounded compared to the 45 at first, now it's hands down my favourite pistol.
EDIT: http://symthic.com/cod-bo2-weapon-charts#0010000000ncnnnn0 It actually looks like the 45 hits its lowest damage range before the FS, even though it maintains the full damage for a slightly longer distance.
Why would you say that. Its very hard to do well with a pistol. I'm only doing it because I like challenging myself.
Huh? Since when?
I'm this boards Tac-45 noob. So Naturally I use the Tac-45 as my Primary. I do like the Extended Mags and Long barrel. Flak Jacket and Ghost since you will be running around. And whatever else you like.
Don't believe those FN 5-7 nubs, they are trying to brainwash you in the inferior pistol ways :P
what is your kd
1.01 xD But a 1.13 with a Tac-45 :P
Rainbow Dash is best pony. brohoof anyone? ^-^ /) ? # of Brohooves gotten-171! :D Started Feb. 2012 (Tac-45 <3)
IMO the 5-7 is the most accurate, but I despise it.
Tac-45 does more damage than the 5-7 but if you are not very accurate you will most likely need extended mags.
B23R is a beast. Consider using it dual wielded. Who needs extended mags when you can just have 2?
Executioner is another one you should try dual wielded and remember you have to get in very close. Light weight and extreme conditioning really help with that, or a shield, but the shield is hard to be good with in this game.
The Kap-40 is pretty great too. I like to go with extended mags and a silencer or long barrel. It eats through bullets so fast that I don't like to use it dual wielded. I like the added accuracy from being able to aim with it.
And that is my opinion on the pistols.

Best pistol to use as a primary overall is unquestionably the KAP-40 (assuming you're going to add at least one attachment if it's your functional primary) unless you specifically are after some specific feature of another sidearm, like the Five seveN's accuracy or the Tac's two-hit kill.
