Seriously I was hoping these DLC maps would be different.

It seems like every map in this game has the same repetitive layout. Three main narrow paths across the map with a few extra entires/exits.

Even that new big snow map has this problem for me. It's big, but it doesn't matter if every path is going to be narrow.

This is why SMGs are dominating the game and this is why Sniper Rifles are pretty horrible.

Really only Treyarch/IW have done this with BO2 and MW3. Before that it was fine...

naw. They are doing it like this on purpose. There hasn't been a big wide open map similar to Overgrown since BO2.

I really want to start a petition or something so Treyarch/IW notices this complain about the maps....

This. Every year it feels like more of a clusterf***. I thought MW3 maps were small but going back to it makes this maps look absurdly small.

I have this analogy to explain how the maps have changed.

During the MW2 days the maps were like playing tag in a park.

BO1 was similar to MW2.

MW3 was like playing hide and seek in a house.

BO2 is like playing hide and seek with 18 people in a small sandbox.

I just don't know why we need to have all of this damn clutter on every map. DO we really need a chin-high box on every corner of the map? Do we really need a giant rock breaking up any long sight line?

Yeah agreed.

WAW was influenced off COD4, biggest maps.
BO1 was influenced off MW2, medium sized maps
BO2 was influenced off MW3, tiny maps

I think the map designers changed as well.

I disagree with the cod4 part. It had some good sized maps but most were pretty small. I don't recall any names but take that map where the campaign starts, it's pretty small.

Shipment and wetwork were also pretty small. MW2 had the biggest/best sized maps IMO. COD4 had some similar maps but I prefer MW2 because of the lack of as many connection issues.
