Assault shield is a good choice when you're trying to no perk/no attachment a weapon.

Id rather hide in a corner and throw 2x flashbangs, 2x concussions than hide behind a shield and wonder if your dead midway to a bloodthirsty.

Most people aim for the legs because of view kick. Shield on your back when you don't know I'm there isn't going to help in the least.

Might as well use something else that will help you get kills instead.
