why does everyone use "Stock" on Assault Rifles?

No, I'm not talking about the speed to zoom in, I'm talking about the movement speed of the reticule itself while you're ADS'd. Moving the reticle from target to target across your screen, basically.


No*, but you can increase that in the options. General consensus is to push your sensitivity as high as you can control it, I think I have mine at 8 or 10 (out of 14, I believe)

*Unless you use the increased strafe speed to pan across targets.

Quickdraw makes you aim faster, it says that right in its description, where it says in the stocks description you move faster while aiming, not aim faster.

Why has that phrase gotten more popular all of a sudden? Tropic Thunder came out 4 1/2 years ago, and I'm just now hearing it all over the place.
