I agree as well. Hardwired needs a buff. Right now there's really no reason in using Hardwired when Toughness or Fast Hands are better options for Perk 2.

Yeah, I understand. But the point of the vsat was to have all enemy players show up on radar. It becomes useless if certain setups do not makes it so you don't show up.

That is why I said that second option where Hardwired downgrades you to show up as a normal UAV, so you are still getting something. Only if the the person has Ghost as well and moving would they not show up at all, seems pretty fair to me.

I would agree with this maybe and only maybe if they buff the VSAT somehow, like making it cost less points. Treyarch had a really good idea with the poinstreak system but implemented it horribly.

No, what the VSAT needs is a point increase to 1400 because it is that good.

If you made anything immune to the VSAT, then it would make the game slow as hell, as soon as you put it up, everyone would slap hardwired on and go camping in a corner.
The SR71 saved black ops by itself, can you imagine if no-one showed up when you called it in? Game would be slow paced, very lothargic, no-one would do crap.

Does it need a counter? No, does it need a slight point increase? Yes.

But how do you justify the Blackbird being 8 kills in black ops 1 and over 10 kills in this game? I would understand if they made it last longer or anything, but its the same killstreak.

It's easier to get in this game due to objectives points.

If the other team gets a VSAT you have two choices:

a) Switch to class with scavenger and two emp nades. Spam EMP nades randomly around the map.

b) Leave game

I most often do b if they get a VSAT. If there's a guy that's 0-10 by this point on my team, he either sucks or is boosting. In any case, he'll be something like 1-26 by the time the game ends so I save myself the frustration and leave.

As much as I like the idea of a Hardwired buff, VSAT is a hard enough kill streak to get that it should stay powerful.
