Quickscopers

Opinions please all. From what i have seen of "quickscope" players it seems to be abusing the aim assist feature to the extent that you are playing with a OHK aimbot. Why doesnt treyarch just turn off the auto aim feature for sniper rifles??

A lot of the "this or that is OP" topics on this board generally amount to whining in my opinion, however, when elitesniper420smokeweedalldaystopthatbabycryingimtryingtowatchjeremykyle jumps, does a 360 in the air and headshots you from a mile away is simply ridiculous.

You act like this occurrence is more than remarkably rare

Yeah, and they should extend ADS to a full 3 seconds. At minimum!

It has been a reasonably common occurrence of late. Maybe i am just being unfortunate in lobbies. However, i believe my original point is a sentient one and have yet to encounter a reasonable argument for keeping the auto aim features on sniper rifles.

You sound like everyone else on GFAQs who constantly complains about quickscoping even though its painfully obvious you've never tried it.

Lets be clear about this. I havent really come here to cast dispersion's on the way a player plays a game s/he has bought and paid for. I am saying that removing auto aim from the snipers would make for a more balanced experience. I am comfortable in my beliefs and welcome any opinions contrary to my own.

im not sure about the "its initially difficult to master" argument. An analogy of that would be a card counter whining at a casino that banned him because what s/he is doing requires a modicum of skill.

First of all, QSing is not easy, and not OP,

It takes time to aim down sights in this game, and it slows you down considerably. More importantly, the aim assist isn't as big a factor as you think.
I consider QSing to be like aiming with the force. You look and see the enemies movement, and while ADSing, you will be blind, you need to feel
Where the enemy will be and basically shoot partly blind.

Secondly, the snipers are good at taking down one at a time. That's it, if you get double teamed you are dead. So not very OP at all.

im not sure about the "its initially difficult to master" argument.

Go do it for a few matches and tell us your scores. Make sure you leave aim assist on.
