Depends entirely on the situation but I would go as far to say that 95% of the time that they would have seen you anyway. If they are shooting you with an LMG across the map using the target finder than it might be a different situation but then that person could have jut used the dual band scope and got the same results. They also could have used the Variable zoom and got an even more precise shot on you. The problem with LMGs in this game is the recoil when in all actuality they have very very little recoil in a realistic scenario.
