The VSAT kills playing solo.

the vsat is op, we've known this since bo1

The removal of stopping power/juggernaut snowballed the entire thing. Leaving the stealth perk as the best option for most scenarios leads to more people camping in corners.

The Vsat is supposed to be the answer to stealth campers, but just leads to even more problems and causing players to be even more stationary as the logic does make sense, the enemy knows where you are, why move? The combination of the Blackbird/Chopper Gunner/Dogs might as well mean game over if you're playing solo against a party and the worse part is that the killstreaks are essentially looped if playing against a party. Many may have hated it, but the nuke would be useful for solo players.

You probably won't win, but in MW3 for instance, you could still do well because you couldn't just shoot red arrows all game, every game, when you're in a full party.

yeah because assassin countered literally everything in the game. dat perk balance

Actually against full parties i would pull out the Blind Eye+ Quickdraw MP7 ext. mag W/ Tac Insert + C4

Run 3, 5, 6, and spam out preds and airstrikes or REALLY hit them below the belt with the AUAV, SB, and EMP. I would actaully stay in games against full parties to hear them scream their rage.

Actually you could. Recon. I think it's only counter was Dead Silence and it just reduced the time you we're marked.

I hear you. I didn't even notice parties in MW3. Nothing was gonna stop me. Here it's just blatantly obvious, it's just groups of people looking to exploit the game to do good, with their cheap tactics.

What mode is this? I only play TDM but have only had an opponent use VSAT about 3-4 times (out of 150ish hours)

TC, I have the same sentiments. I loved playing solo in MW3 (and actually preferred it). I could maintain a 4.0+ K/D weekly without leaving games or lobbies with clans (honestly, most of the time full parties would leave after 1 match because they generally don't like a challenge or they want to keep playing Dome.)

In Black Ops 2, I can start a game doing decently (let's say something like 15-6) against a team with at least a few good players (or a full party), and then the enemy calls in a VSAT because my team is bad. It's over then. They can keep on chaining streaks and making it hard for me to get my own streaks (especially if they're high streaks; unfortunately you can't choose scorestreaks for specific classes. Otherwise one could make a "tryhard" class with UAV, HK, CUAV which would work out nicely.) It's just a negative feedback loop because once it's started it just gets worse.

Full parties didn't all run recon pro & flashbangs in MW3, and if you were noticed they were, then stay out of high trafficked areas and it's not a problem. If you were a solid player and won the majority of your gunfights you could still go positive (even 2+ K/D) against a full party of good players. Also you could make specific classes (with specific killstreaks!) for specific challenges: against campy clans I'd run Blind Eye/Assassin, smoke grenades, and Pred + Precision, against "tryhard" clans (the guys who want MOABs) I'd run Recon, Assassin, Dead Silence, and UAV + Vests. Against scrubby clans I'd just run specialist and try to get a MOAB lol.

tl;dr: the VSAT and the fact that you can't choose specific scorestreaks for specific classes makes this game a pain to play solo compared to MW3.

agree completely. If my team sucked in mw3 i wasn't too penalized. Thanks to specialist i could basically be immune to being penalized for having a horrible team. You're destroyed for having a bad team in this game. Even if you have an anti kill streak perk on in this game, thanks to the double spawn system treyarch copy pasted from bo1, you're screwed, because of the horrid spawn system treyarch invoked. Iw had almost as many spawn points per map. Difference is, they knew how to prioritize spawn points. I can play any iw cod, cap a flag solo, and not have to worry about someone spawning behind me. Cap a flag in a treyarch cod and someone WILL spawn behind you

No counters?

Spamming EMP nades
CUAV.
Not sucking.

LOLOLOL Because a full team wouldn't instantly shoot down a CUAV when they have a Vsat up.

EMP nades counter 1 maybe 2 guys for 10 seconds.

Because when you have 9 men hunting you down (and half the time they EMP on top of it.) it's a matter of not sucking.

Full teams don't run FHJ on the the classes they earn VSATs with. The thought process goes "use vsat, get countered, switch to class with FHJ"

A team of EMP nade spammers can seriously impair an opposing team's chances at chaining VSATs. Which, once the first enemy VSAT is up, should be your number one priority.

Not sucking means not letting them get a VSAT to begin with.
