What size tv are you guys playing on?

trumoochPosted 3/14/2013 2:37:47 PM
I have a 42 inch and im happy with it, but I was thinking about getting a 60 inch. I was at BestBuy the other day talking to the guy in the tv department and I was telling him that I mainly want the 60 for my video gaming. He said the bigger the tv the worst the graphics will look! Whats you guys' opinion?

Thanks for your time!!

This is pretty much true, as long as you are comparing TVs of the same resolution. All a bigger screen size is doing is inflating the pixels without giving the picture any more detail. However, if your 42" is a 720p and you are going to a 60" 1080p then yes it will be a noticeable difference.

My 42 inch is 1080p and the 60 inch I was planning to get is also 1080p. What should I do?

I started on a 32 inch. Moved to a 60 inch. Then dropped back to a 32 inch. All 1080 whatever quality.

I will say that on the 60 inch the games I played were gorgeous. It was very nice gaming on it. There were some issues though.

1. I was getting headaches from gaming to long(1.5 hours and I would start getting one).

2. I was doing horrible in some games.

3. I was getting a lot of eye strain/fatigue(which went right along with the headaches).

I bought a new 32 inch tv with my taxes(I was renting the 60 for a bit) and suddenly things were much better. I stopped getting headaches and eye strain. I also started doing much better in games(first night I felt like I had perma host on Black ops 1).

I am not sure if this is any one elses experience, but I have definitely found that bigger isn't always better.

I heard monitors are better for playing COD. I wouldn't know, though; I play on a 32" Samsung.

42" LED. It works well enough, but it's an older LG model that is starting to show its age (it's 7 years old I believe).
