Will multiplayer games kill the single player experience?

I don't think it will for CoD but it definitely happened for me in Borderlands 2. In Bl2 the dlc raid bosses(I haven't played the newest dlc though) are so strong its impossible for me to solo them without using an exploit like the fibber.

I rarely play SP games anymore.

Co-op, competitive, sure.

Asynchronous stuff like Dark Souls or Need For Speed (AutoBlog). Absolutely.

I played through Tomb Raider, but I had to force myself.

As far as I'm concerned, without some degree of connectivity, I probably won't be drawn in.

Looking forward, I don't know of any single player game other than BioShock Infinite that I actually WANT to play.

I'm sure some will come around that I'll decide to pick up as a spur of the moment thing (Tomb Raider), but, yeah.
