Needing some tips for getting the executioner gold.

#1DetsuosPosted 3/16/2013 4:27:54 PM
Hey guys, I got my five seven golded out a couple months ago and I've been working on and off to get the executioner up there next(as it seems to be the hardest pistol to get headshots with). I've prestiged it twice and maxed it out, and i'm only up to 55 headshots. I've been using dual wield and playing hardcore, but I don't get headshots all too often. Are there any other class/weapon set ups that should be used?

Fyi, i'm using:
Executioner w/ DW
Lightweight
Fast Hands/Scavenger
ExConditioning
C4
2 Shock Charges and Perk 2 Greed.

Any tips would be appreciated in trying to get this beast of a gun golded.

Don't use dual wield. Use long barrel and fast mags instead.

Here's your perfect 'gold pistols' class.

Shield
Whatever Pistol you want gold, with whatever attachment. Dual Wield = not good for headshots.

Flak Jacket
Fast Hands + Scavenger
Tactical Mask

Bouncing Betty (to cover your backside)
Concussion Grenade.

Tactical Mask makes you immune to your own Concussions pretty much, so close in on them with the shield out. As they try to reload, quickly concussion grenade them, swap to your pistol, then line up for the easy headshot. <3

Fair enough guys, I'll be sure to give those a shot. Thanks a bunch! I never thought of using the riot shield like that.

No problem. My 'tryhard' class used to be a PDW. Now it's a Shield with whatever Pistol I'm in the mood for. If you like rage, it's great.

Once you get your pistol gold that you were working on, or even if you just want (since it's what I do). Swap out the Concussion Grenade for a Tactical Insertion since you run so damn slow with the Shield (I think it's 90% movement speed, same as an LMG).

Here's just an example of how I use it.

I was using the Executioners Dual-Wield since I already completed the Headshot challenges with it. You kinda want to leave your TI a bit in a noticeable, yet concealed place as well. That way you know where they are if you hear that your TI has been destroyed. Plus, it's fun to hear the rage.

If you're doing it that way, you always want to get close to the person, then side-step as their ADS'ing since you can side-step faster than they can aim. Then BOOM BOOM! Profit!

Also, just run UAV, CUAV, and whatever 'easy' scorestreak you want. It'll help you and your team out tremendously. Since you'll know where the enemies are, and since your Pistol most likely won't be silenced, you hide yourself from them with the CUAV. I now run UAV, Hunter Killer Drone, and CUAV. Ridiculously easy to just keep stringing them together.

A lot of people also don't know how to react to a shield. If you have a mic, you can give shoutouts to your teammates as to where they are and coordinate with them so they can run in and kill the guys.

I recently golded the executioner last weekend and here are a few of my pointers if interested.

I mainly play HC but I found that its easier to get the challenges and headshots in core.

My setup was dualwield for attachments, which also acts as fast mags.

perks were ghost, scavenger, toughness, and dex.

2x concussions.

Corner camp often, always try to throw concussions at enemies, and try to ambush rooms that are known sniper locations for the easy headshots.

dual wield and try to aim up as you shoot, you will love it in core for the improved health that you have.

But overall, it is a long road and it sucks and it will get you pissed off but eventually it will be done if you camp and camp alot.

When you go for bloodthristies and double kills, it will suck even more.

It is the only gun that I was not comfortable doing both the no perks and no attachments together. I did them seperately and dropped dual wield and used suppressor and fast mags. double kills are easier to obtain if you can limit the first target to one or two bullets which is not hard to do once you get used to the gun. Bloodthirsties requires you to camp ALOT. Just camp and good luck.

Play how I did in those 2 videos. Use the class I suggested but instead of the Concussion Grenade, use a Tactical Insertion. The Executioner honestly was the easiest gun I got gold and the most fun I had. I did the no perks/attachments together. Ended up getting all the bloodthirsties, doubles, and revenges as I did the 150 no perk/attachment challenges.

Lose the shock charges, they're bad karma.

That doesn't make sense.

Also another thing that is just as important, if its not a good map for the pistol, cargo, aftermath, turbine, hydro, etc just leave the lobby and try and play in lobbies that have lots of sub 1.00 kd players. The lesser the opponent the easier time you will have with the gun.
