Yup, since there is no Radar in Hardcore many people use UAVs, which is why Ghost is a really good perk for HC.
I use both Flak Jacket and Ghost in hardcore, switching out a lethal just in case so I don't kill my teammate from an across the map semtex.

I don't use Ghost in Core though, Since i'm always on the run with a long Barrel Tac. 45 I always appear on the radar when Firing. I find Ghost to be only useful with a silencer, that way you don't appear on the radar at all.


But surely given how advantagous a UAV is for the enemy, especially given that it's HC, it's a better option to shoot the thing down than use Ghost. You protect your whole team that way, not just yourself, and you get a perk slot free (if you were using Perk 1 greed, a lot of people do).

Thing is, in hardcore you die pretty fast. And when you have to manually shoot something down it puts you at risk of being shot.
Black hat PDA take longer to take streaks down then with a FHJ. Only should use Black Hats for enemy equipment.

Perk 1 Greed. I wish I could just pick as many Tier 1 perks as the point system will allow. Then round things off with Scavenger.

Let's put the necessary perks into this list:

Flak Jacket (for all the explosive s*** they give you and put in the map)
Ghost (UAV spam)
Blind Eye (Hunter Killer Drones)
Toughness (flinch is absurd)
Cold Blooded (TF noobs)
Dexterity (shouldn't be in the game if there's a quickdraw handle and TERRIBADLY broken animations)
Tactical Mask (for the shock charges and other tactical grenades)
Engineer (for sentries and everything people toss from their pockets)

Helpful, but not mandatory perks:

Hardline
Lightweight
Fast Hands
Scavenger
Extreme Conditioning

S&D Perks:

Awareness
Dead Silence

Completely useless perks:

Hardwired.

I'd say this game definitely needs a 'specialist' type of streak package, especially with how badly it was designed and how necessary the perks are.

Today, I've played maybe 10-15 games. Each and every one of them I camped my ass off. I don't like to camp. Why did I camp? TF LMGs and TF SF FALs headglitching the middle of the map, Shock Charges and Bouncing Betties everywhere, tons of Buzzkiller Drones, etc.

The game has more stuff to change it from a FPS to a f***ing hide & seek gauntlet of random s***.
