I'd have to agree with the connection part, it's a shame when I do my like 2.5+kd games it's probably not because of me actually and more of just the connection...

Like how can you tell a good COD player or what does it actually take to be good?

#1 - Gun Skill (By far the most important skill)
#2 - Situational Awareness
#3 - Map knowledge
#4 - Everything else...from patience to willingness to sacrifice your own stats for the team, communication, etc.

How can you tell a good COD player just by looking at them/their stats...a bit harder

KD + SPM for a very basic idea. Great KD with bad SPM just means they camp in random spots slowly getting kills

Great SPM with bad/avg KD means they are good at objectives, they know all the maps and positions but are lacking in gun-skill.

Great KD + SPM means they are much better than average.

Also, take a look at their best League position. Platinum or masters is a good indication of skill

Gamebattles record.

There are so many factors that can determine that. Most of the people who consider themselves to be great players spend most of their time playing with a party they are used to playing with and know how to work well together. Which is ideal because that is what makes it the most fun. When you get teamed up with horrible players, you are likely to struggle since the other team is going to be calling in a lot of scorestreaks.

Then there's the whole connection factor that could make your game go one way or another.

The only way to really tell if someone is skilled is by playing with them on a regular basis. I've been told I suck because I went 13-12 in TDM. The next game I went 28-2. There was no lag in either game and nobody left between games so it was all the same players. Playing with randoms brings random results. The friends you play with all the time are the ones who really know how good you are and can judge if you have true skill.

I believe simply having a k/d over 1 and a spm over 280 on objective modes makes a good player. Ill probably get yelled at for the k/d part but I think if you are killing more than you are dieing than you are a good player.

The whole connection thing needs to drop. It does affect the game from time to time but it is not game breaking. The problem is certain instances are bein picked out making it look worse and worse. Believe me, it can be frustrating. It's just not as bad as everyone's making it out to be. I've good matches while be being on the bad side of lag comp. Just have to pick your spots well.

280....really... that is a garbage SPM even for FFA/TDM.. 400+ in objective modes to be considered even decent.

I'll just go by SPM / KDR

TDM: 400 SPM / 2.5+ KD
DOM / KC: 600 SPM / 2.0 KD (KD doesn't matter much in Obj, but it's nice to strategically play the objective)

If you have these stats, you are actively seeking the objective.
