Why is the shield so useless?

Even if I come across an inexperienced or bad player, they just need to shoot at my shield and I die.

Before anyone says otherwise, I am crouched and have center focus on the enemy for maximum protection, but to no avail.

I doesn't block eff all.

Try crouching BEHIND the shield.

It isn't. You just aren't using it right.

Because this is a First Person Shooter, not a First Person Shielder.

Tell me how then.

Fast Hands, Any Pistol, Concussions, Scavenger, Flak Jacket, Tac Mask, C4 or Combat Axe.

Switch to your pistol when they let their guard down or try to reload.

Shielding isn't really something that can be taught. It just takes a lot of trial and error until you get a knack for it.

don't listen to anyone telling you "lag" or "not using it right," the thing just doesn't work sometimes and turns into a paper shield
