Migrating hosts ends up popping up and I find out that I was host? Remember when host meant you weren't at a disadvantage? Ah, the good old days --- Now Playing: Mass Effect 3, CoD: BO2, Bioshock: Infinite
I refuse to be host. Too many times I've been shot around corners, my bullets don't register, and enemy players shooting me when they are looking in another direction. --- Non mihi, non tibi, sed nobis. "Not for me, not for you, but for us."
I got crapped on when I was host... (3/5 times anyway)
If I wasn't host, it was usually a good game.
Sometimes you'd get some host though and just have horrendous hit detection. You'll notice it a LOT in Sticks and Stones, which I always played to warm up. With weapons that require direct single fire hits, you can REALLY tell how bad the game is at times. Throwing Combat Axes that go through people...
Yes, this is theater mode. I was host, and according to what I've read, theater mode records the 'hosts view'.
Only explanation, he was lagging and not getting the information quick enough, shot when I was near there on his screen, and got the kill because 'lag comp'... Or, I ran so fast I outran my hitbox... --- GG TREYARCH! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPfj-JvI0XI
Good internet + being host on Lag Ops 2 = every death will be a WTF. I have seen host migration after backing out of a laggy as **** game, had matchmaking throw me right back into the same game in progress and demolish the same guys that 45 seconds ago I could not touch. --- my current game collection http://www.gamefaqs.com/users/tadmfpole/games/owned
I only play TDM. My SPM 280, K:D 3.30. I play with other people my skill level.
I'm not a bad player and I tell you I've noticed certain re-occurrences tend to happen at a much higher frequency when I'm host (at least for me on my 40Mbps connection). --- Non mihi, non tibi, sed nobis. "Not for me, not for you, but for us."

OH LAWD THIS.
I played a game before where I was raging so hard, and left and realized I was host. Jumped straight back into the game (joined my friends session who was still in it) and the whole game felt so easy and smooth now.
I left when I went 3 to 13. Joined back in and I dominated with 27 for 3.
I think the only issue with host is that EVERYBODY see's you at a delay occasionally allowing you to die after making it around a corner or behind hard cover. In head-on gunfights you should always have a significant advantage. --- GT - JONNYWESTSIDE
