Pro Gaming the New Major Sport?

I hear people saying they think competitive video games are going to be as big as professional sports in a few years.

Do you guys think that's gonna happen?

I personally do not enjoy watching live stream competitive (or live streams in general.) But am I in the minority?

They're growing at like 300% per year. it'll end up blowing up within the next couple years for sure.

That being said i don't think it'll ever get to the size of any of the major sports (football, soccer, basketball, golf, etc).

This. One day I think it will be bigger, but because major sports lose popularity at the same as gaming increases in popularity. It certainly won't be in the near future though. 30, maybe 40 years out. We'll see.

So we're saying 30 to 40 years until it reaches Lingerie Football League status?

Or full blown pro sport status?

Hopefully Starcraft isn't in it because we'd lose to Koreans every freaking time

They have us beat at Ping-Pong, Nuclear arms races, and making sweet tablets! We lose.

It doesn't really matter, china will own us by 2020.
