Yeah they're a bit too similar. I honestly don't care as a customer but if I was that guy I would go nuts.

In the USA it's who got there first and can prove it. Many a tiny company have won lawsuits against big dogs like Nintendo and Microsoft just being able to prove they came up with the idea first. It doesn't work like Tesla v Edison anymore.

If this were legit, he would have a case. Since he's posting it on Youtube, it's likely just another thing that people do on the internet. Kind of like fake nudes of celebrities. Ot that picture from 9/11 where the book was upside down in George Bush's hand.

Because No one has ever had the Idea of Giant Robots in a World war before.

I personally dont give a S*** if they truly took the idea from that or not. Notice i said "took" and not "Stole" because if they did get the idea from that then they took the idea from a painting and made it into a full blown zombies map for a game, It would be different if they also made a painting just like it and claimed they came up with it.

If Fruiz does decide to take legal action, we'll hear about it in about 2 years and Activision will settle out of court. It could be argued that robot was stolen from a dozen different places, but the atmosphere, planes, tank, and general setting make me think that someone at Treyarch saw this and went, "hey, this would make a great zombie map". The guy is right, Fruiz should have been hired or payed for his idea and brought on board for the map, not have his IP stolen.

My two cents.

Why go through all the legal mumbo jumbo? Easier for Activision to do what you said, blatantly rip off the idea and then simply settle outside of court.

Which would be in Treyarch's best interests, because if they get taken to court, God knows how many costumers they would loose...

Nah, how silly am I being?

They'd still have their sheep to fall back upon...
