I was thinking I should delete the video and try to redo it, but then I realized it's probably better to leave it so I can track my progress.

So it's gonna stay, but I'm working on ideas for my next commentary..

I didn't watch it but the biggest thing is to script out what you're going to say. If you're just awful with improv, script the entire thing and then just read it back naturally. You can do "takes" too where you say a certain line/topic a few times, then go back and pick the best sounding one and just edit the good ones all together at the end.

If you're alright at improv or just want it to sound more natural, just do a bulleted list of topics you'd like to talk to about. Then I'd suggest doing the take thing, or at the very least take each topic one at a time. Collect your thoughts before starting each one so you don't ramble, and just go. Edit them together after.

The one problem to watch out for when doing each part separately is your tone, volume, etc of voice may become vastly different between each part. This can be jarring for the listener and makes it very obvious that you did it one piece at a time, which you don't want. You want the end product to sound like you said it all at once in one long take. So when beginning a new part, it can help to listen to the final sentence of the previous part so you can begin the next part in the tone/volume that one would expect to hear if you were saying all of this at once.

Hope that helps, GL with it.

I see that you generally have a lot of ideas and don't really know which to present first. I really, really recommend that you make a bulleted list as "notes" to help you remember what you're speaking of and in what order to maximize organization, speed, and efficiency at which you actually do the video. Zoom out the camera a bit. Don't interrupt your sentences to jump to another point, which is aided by doing the previous listing tip. This is the biggest thing I saw in the Q-Troller video, and it can REALLY confuse anyone watching that could potentially be trying to recreate the video.

Ok I will try to incorporate that.
Ham, I am not trying to "spam comments advertising my channel". I honestly wanted feedback like what you guys are giving me. If I wanted to spam my channel, I would want to have content worth spamming for first.

I know but just don't do it in the future

Make shorter videos as well, If there is one thing I've learned from making videos shorter videos help bring in audience, Most people aren't going to watch a 9-10 minute video from a new commentator, Build up your audience first and then bring the longer videos in from time to time.

So, should I just stick to doing strictly one topic per video? No tangents at all? For example, the video I just did was basically two topics, one was an introduction to my channel + the progression of franchises rant, and the other was why trash talking is bad. Would it have been better to just do two, or possibly three videos with those topics? So one with introduction to my channel, one for why older players of franchises won't like newer games, and a third addressing trash talkers? What do I do if I feel a topic doesn't quite require a full video but still want to address it?

Also, do you guys think it is good or bad when someone comments on the gameplay mid-commentary? One thing I like about thunder that some other youtubers don't do is he actually will make occasional comments on the gameplay, something I tried (and evidently failed) at doing in this video. It IS something I want to incorporate, though. I tend not to like when it's someone talking over some random gameplay.

I have read all of the suggestions thus far and most of them seem really good, and I will definitely be using them next time around.

Also, to the people who don't like my voice, there is really nothing I can do to change that and I wouldn't want to if I had the choice, so you can just go away. I will try to not be so monotone next time though.

I guess this is now officially the "give f41lurizer youtube advice" topic.
Thanks in advance to anyone who helps me out a little.
