So between the DS and 3DS version, there are no differences other than the 3D.

If you own a 3DS then there is no real reason not to get the 3DS version,simple as that.

Well the 3DS version is also wide screen with a higher resolution, so it just looks better all around. But still, same game.

Actually, there's plenty. Longer battery life with a DS console, means you can play longer. Also, you can play the DS version on BOTH DS consoles and 3DS consoles. So if one craps out or dies earlier than the other, you can swap to keep playing. For someone who NEVER uses 3D, such as myself, it's quite a dilemma.

Those aren't real good reasons of you only have a 3DS. I will get the 3DS version because like I said there isn't any real reason for me to get the ds one.

The only thing the DS version wins is longer battery life, the whole 3ds dying thing is bull. I dont know what peoples issue is though. I have yet for my 3ds battery to die on me while on the go, even with streetpass and 3d on. The only thing that really seems to zap mine is the eshop and internet browser.

Anyways....Not only does the 3ds version have 3d and higher res, but the 3ds can do updates for the game for a bug and DLC for the game. Both a patch and DLC are VERY unlikely, but still something to think about.
