ShogoMAD2010Posted 12/25/2012 2:35:12 PM | Sadly, this is where the comparison ends. While the game isn't trash, it is uninspired and generic, and suffers from very bad design choices. Honestly, buy Zelda 2 instead. It only costs a fraction of the price and it's infinitely better (and lasts for more than 4 hours). |

1upsuperPosted 12/26/2012 12:39:32 AM | I'd have to agree with the TC. To be perfectly honest, I mainly got it for the Collector's Edition, and I enjoy the show. Beat it in about three and a half hours, and have little incentive to go back. --- http://www.backloggery.com/1upsuper |
AkanubonOrihPosted 12/28/2012 4:01:56 AM | Ah dang. Well this is the exact information I was looking for. Looks like I won't bother picking this up until it's crazy cheap on Amazon or something. --- Like the "100,000 Strong for Bringing Back Mega Man Legends 3" fan page on Facebook! Leo0820Posted 12/30/2012 10:51:24 PM | I am convinced the Ice Kingdom is nothing but a reference to Death Mountain in Zelda 2.
... Minus the death, because this game is crazy easy.
Still fun, though. --- Leo's AMP has increased by 1. |
KMAnsemPosted 1/2/2013 6:57:34 PM | Zelda II is a terrible game. This isn't. --- "I once got a spam email entitled 'SIX STEPS TO A GREAT CAREER.' I was really disappointed when it wasn't an ad for revolvers." - todaystomsawyer |
HourouEgaoPosted 1/5/2013 12:54:59 PM | Zelda 2 isn't terrible. It's a lot different than its predecessor but a lot of games were like that back then. I did pick up this game expecting a Zelda 2 successor and was disappointed as well. It felt like it was being advertised as such, maybe it was from me being misinformed at one point but the game is fun enough and I enjoy it's short nature. There are so many games on the market that a 3 hour game left a better impression on me than a 12 hour game like paper mario sticker star. --- This is a Signature. |
FAT____MANPosted 1/9/2013 10:06:30 AM | Zelda 2 is ****ing terrible. Someone's talking crap about design choices in this game, where the only difference between these two game is that Adventure Time is actually fair and isn't designed to devour up your time like Zelda 2. |
T_TanggPosted 1/24/2013 11:40:15 PM | Sleeper hit right here. WayForward makes great games like Double Dragon Neon. So glad a company out there are still making games like this for me. Can't really get into new games these days. --- NNID: T_Tang PSN: T_Tang GT: ElateDuckling0 Vita: AsKsQsJsTs 3DS: 0387-9826-5126 |

Someone's talking crap about design choices in this game, where the only difference between these two game is that Adventure Time is actually fair and isn't designed to devour up your time like Zelda 2. While Zelda 2 has some awesome monsters to fight (that are challenging, yet fair), it also has some really nasty enemies at the end that are plain unfair. The bosses were great, though. Really, Zelda 2's failing comes in the actual level designs. Instant death pits should not exist, especially the lives system. You lose a lot of progress when you get a gameover, it's not just a short trek back to where you were. And grinding was just padding. It was not needed at all. It's easy to forgive the game of these faults when you're used to playing the game, or excuse it as a product of the time it came from, but the game is hardly fair in those regards. Adventure time, tried to be fair by not having those pitfalls. --- NNID: Snyder78 3DS FC: 3695-1354-4936 |
