He said on Twitter that he'd never do anything with WWE until they dropped support of SOPA and other bills like it, yet he's DLC in this game. For someone who's been calling WWE hypocrites for months, you'd think he'd know what the word means.

Not exactly true. There has to be an agreement between WWE and the wrestler determining how much he / she will be paid for using their likeness. While WWE does own the rights, they can't just put Val Venus in the game and give him $100 for it. Believe it or not, these payouts go into the 100's of thousands for certain people. Remember earlier in the year X-Pac was very vocal on the lack of money WWE was offering for using him and other AE stars in WWE13. Also, when Y2J wasn't added to WWE12 they said he lost "six figures" on the deal.

They own the name & character, but not his likeness. As long as the character looks like him, they have to have made a deal with him.

He's HAD to have given permission to use him in the game. The reason Owen Hart is not in the game is because his wife has refused permission. WWE legally can't just put him in because they want to.
