Would you be happy if they do away with universe in favor of a career mode?
Would you? I'm talking about an ind depth career mode where you start off wrestling in alley ways and work your way up to the pros--sort of like a my-career mode from mlb: the show.
I'd like a hybrid of modern day Universe and htcp career. Where you have a major focus on one guy and make all his decisions through in depth stories like in htcp, but you can still play the rest of the shows and Universe style cutscenes and storylines unfold that you have less creative control over.
Rather than replace Universe, keep it AND bring back a mode similar to RTWM from the 2011 game. You can freely roam around backstage and interact with other superstars/divas. Improve it with more consequences and longer/branching/varying stories, though.
It can be done, but maybe not in time for the next game.
If I had to pick between the two it would be a universe mode every time.
No reason why you can't do both.
Pro-Evolution and FIFA always have the league simulation and a Be-a-Pro thing.
There needs to be some form of GM/Universe mode. While I would love for them
to bring back some of the older ideas of the past I just don't see that happening.
I'd like both.
A Universe that tracks rivalries, alliances and books over the years.
A career mode where you work your way up ranks to the main event of wrestlemania.
A hybrid could exist, but that would be very expansive require a lot of micromanagement. I think having the two seperate would be good.

Sad when HCTP still has the best story/career mode to date.
