^ Especially when you consider WWE has profited in the past by doing homo-erotic based angles

I wanted a fully customizable wrestling game, as this was pretty much advertised to be. I feel very angry that I didn't get what I paid for.

Except you did. They advertised a fully customizable wrestling game, and you got a fully customizable wrestling game. Correct me if I'm wrong, and I will gladly apologize and retract my statement if I am, but I don't remember any trailer for the game that promoted the ability to make your little lesbian soap opera or erotic fanfic.

Well, that depends on your definition of "fully customizable".

Because I could have sworn that they told us that we could do whatever we wanted with it.

Using your definition, that's false advertising, which is punishable by law.

I guess by this fail logic that means my WWE 13 game should be able to make Smores Pop Tarts pop out the disc loader whenever I'm hungry, eh?

Also, it wouldn't matter if you were a girl, guy, or transgender like Cakey ... I would've told you to pull out the My Little Pony game because you're crying like a child over something that is not realistic to expect out of a WRESTLING GAME anyway. Keep crying, I'll keep being the "misogynist". /rollseyes

You say it's "not realistic to expect out of a WRESTLING GAME"? Um, until a few years ago, it was doable in every single wrestling game there was. Over the years, women have just been more and more marginalized. Pull your head out of your rear. They're intentionally adding programming to the game specifically to make women look worse. In SvR 2006, you could have any match you wanted, and though women couldn't compete for the main WWE titles, you could make a custom belt that anyone could fight for. In Smackdown 2, there was no difference at all between what men and women could do, even with all titles. So looks like you're wrong.

A lot of the newer features are great, but they should not have added programming to hinder women, plain and simple. Anyone who disagrees is plainly and simply a misogynist snapperhead.

I would like to say it isn't just this game. The past few WWE/Smackdown VS Raw games also had gender restrictions as well. And with that I am out of here

If it was advertised to do so...yes. They advertised the create modes and exhibition modes by saying that "you can do whatever you want to with them".

^This.

cediebold...are you old enough to remember WWF Wrestlemania 2000? Or WWF No Mercy for that matter? Because that's exactly what those games had in.

You obviously have no idea how video games or advertising works. "You an do whatever you want with it" = "you can do whatever you want with it within the realm of reason" I know not to put a waffle in the CD slot even though Microsoft/Sony doesn't specify their consoles don't toast waffles.

When I hear "fully customizable wrestling game," I think of making CAWs, making arenas, modifying movesets, entrances, and attires, adding and subtracting stipulations from matches, setting my own schedule and active titles in Universe -- you know, things that are actually related to wrestling, things that affect every match (the focal point of the game), and all of which we can do. TC is the only person I know who thinks of a lesbian kiss scene in story creator when they hear of a fully customizable wrestling game.

@DreamGoddess1.. talking to you now, just so you know, because your post is too freaking long to quote.

I actually agree that the match restriction is stupid. It shouldn't be there. There's no reason why a woman shouldn't be able to fight a man. I totally get this complaint, but on the other hand, this has been a restriction in the game for years now, so it's poo on you for not doing your research, especially since every single year there's a flood of topics all across the Internet asking if men and women can fight yet. Honestly I find it shocking that you wouldn't even consider that the game might have changed since 2006 or whenever you last bought a game, given how much the WWE has changed even in just the past 5 years. I know the game is Attitude Era-themed, but it's still being released in the modern era, and a PG WWE is terrified of featuring man-on-woman violence. It's not unreasonable to think this might carry over into their official game.

The same exact argument can be made regarding homosexuality. I couldn't care less about Rico prancing around over a decade ago or Mickie lusting for Trish 7 years ago. WWE doesn't feature it in their programming anymore so it shouldn't be expected to be in their games. Homosexuality is still considered a taboo subject by many people and many companies/media outlets. Despite their partnership with GLAAD (if they even still have that) which is just a PR stunt, WWE is not interested in promoting it. Whether you agree with that or not is irrelevant, and I'm not going to argue politics on a gaming forum. It's just a fact.

But if I was a betting man, I'd say the main reason THQ put in the cutscene restrictions is the same as why they added a crotch blur -- because it would inevitably be perverted. Maybe you would only use your story for personal *thrills*, but you are not thousands of people who own the game and have access to Community Creations and the Internet. I can already picture the thousands of YouTube videos of Cena and Orton sucking each other's faces off to Madonna's Erotica while Vinny Mac stands by getting horny. That's not the kind of attention WWE or THQ wants.

All this aside, what you're complaining about is ultimately petty and insignificant. The silliness of your complaint is its biggest invalidator. Seriously, it's one little cutscene, such a minuscule part of the game, so stupid to get so fired up about. Write your story without it and move on. This is even worse than those goofs who get their panties in a wad about entrance pyro

Your rebuttal is about as holey as swiss cheese.

WWE isn't interested in promoting gay elements, right...in their new family friendly PG era? And yet, the Stink Face is still in the game (2 versions in fact), Bronco Buster, Long Kiss Goodnight and Crotch grab (Not to mention men can use the Booty Popping Moonsault).

These moves haven't been done in quite a while to my knowledge in a WWE ring, and they certainly aren't PG, and yet their in the game? So then with men only fighting men and women only fighting women using moves like that.....are you so sure WWE is gay free?

Why are these blatantly perv moves ok to keep in the game, and more innocent ones like horsey ride or same gender kissing in a cut scenes removed? Where is the consistency?

And if Women can't fight men because "WWE is so terrified of doing so", then why have they in the WWE universe on occasion?

For example Kharma and Beth Phoenix have competed in the Royal Rumble, this wasn't 10 years ago or during the attitude era, this was during their current PG regime. What about Santina Marella? Or Santino fighting Beth Phoenix a few years back?

Beth vs Santino

Kharma in the 2012 Rumble

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W3i9XWHr9_k

(If people want to recreate these iconic moments or create their own...then why not let them?)

Finally you claim THQ does these things because their worried about pervs? Well really who cares....if people want to do pervy things, then let them.

I mean who is THQ to even justify such a thing anyway, when they produce blatant smut like Saints Row. Lets look at some of the expansion packs for it shall we....

Genki Girls, Maximum Pleasure, Penthouse Pack (an expansion that allows you to play as porn stars).

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XC5E-iAaIF0

OH MY....Clearly decadent trash. certainly not a company who should be lecturing to anyone about being pervy.

Bottom line is WWE, Yukes, THQ only follow their rules when it suits them.
