So, why do you suppose Raven is on the villain side this time around?

Before we start, yes, I know that the whole "Having Trigon as your dad" thing probably has a factor, but somehow I doubt that Raven just woke up one morning and decided to switch teams.

I suppose it's possible that she's not a true "villain" or switches sides partway through the story. (She's seen fighting Luthor on the watchtower) But what are your thoughts?

All of her friends are dead, and the ones that aren't fight against each other.

5 years earlier than the game, in the Injustice prequel comic Raven is still a hero after the metropolis blast. I'm guessing something happens in the Injustice story mode that pushes her over the edge and convinces her to join the regime. Something also tells me that convinces Nightwing to go with her, and they join the regime together.

Not sure what could convince both of them to abandon Batman though. Maybe Batman gets so desperate to defeat Superman and his regime that he starts making deals with villains, and that angers Raven/Nightwing. For example, if Batman hired Deathstroke to help the Insurgency, I could see Raven/Nightwing getting pissed and leaving.

Well alots going on, Beastboy(ex love interest) and friends died. If you know about her if her emotions come out she can be easily influenced by Trigon.

I'd put money on Beast Boy being killed by Cyborg (or someone else on Batman's side).

Real answer: They wanted to make room for some other hero.

while I hope it's something emotional like this that sends her to her dark side I cant see the people on Batman's side killing. The Bat wouldnt allow it. and as for Nightwing I can see him being the "rival" to Raven trying to break her free of the bad side etc
