Yep, but people would probably want more "fantasy" stuff. Like instead of "what if warrior was alive?" stuff, some would want "Nanman elephant attack on Chibi" or something crazy like that.

Wasn't that DW3 or 4? Where you could play as Meng Huo and conquer China on your elephant?

They've done that sort of thing.

Are you talking about stage, using elephant for your animal, or empires? Talking about fantasy stories. Zhu Rong dumping her man for Zhou Yu and Meng Huo crashes into one of his biggest battles in whatever crazy Koei's folklore stuff, similar to funny scenarios like WO.

I mean they had a full Nanman campaign to run through.
It was the game where you picked a character and played through their story, rather than the picking a faction's story to follow.

And the Samurai Warriors games generally have "dream" stages for each character which are just random "what if" (or sometimes "wtf") scenarios.

The fact that these games don't make more money is a tragedy.

But a game around the fantasy, like WO, but without the crossovers. See more of Koei's folklore for the characters and not be bound by the book/history. Just a full game of that seems to what the poster is implying.

Koei should take some tips from Taleworlds Mount & Blade series.

Speaking of which Koei should just let Paradox make the next RoTK.

If they somehow merged Mount and Blade (thinking of the mods like Prophesy of Pendor than the vanilla game) and Dynasty Warriors, I'm not sure I'd ever buy another game again.

Probably clocked 300+ hours of M&B and another 100 or more with Warband and F&S.
