If you're one of those people who count Xillia 2 as some sort of Director's Cut or Expansion pack, Xillia has sold 1,093,865 copies.

Also I got a good chuckle from this

Wow, ToIR sold that low?

Its not really suprise, sine vita was DOA(even psp sells more), and imo ToIR was somewhat lazy remake, sure it fixed dungeons, but everything else wasnt that huge improved.

The list is Japan-only. Symphonia was one of the poorer selling games over there...

The Tales series peaked in popularity during that brief period from 1998-2002.

JRPGs were super popular with gamers at the time and something about Destiny really grabbed people. That continued with Eternia and Destiny 2, then the popularity of Tales (and most JRPGs) began to decline.

Basically, Eternia was just released on the right system at the right time. Having much-improved graphics and gameplay over Destiny likely helped it a lot as well.

Look at the list again. It is under most of the mother ship titles, and above mostly the ports, remakes, and escort titles.

In the main series it wasn't really one of the better selling games.
