The game's graphics may not be super awesome, but this does NOT look like a Gamecube game.

Usually you don't see the best graphics a system can put out until later in it's life cycle, as the developers build better engines and learn how to better take advantage of the systems capabilities.

I think its a combination of this plus the fact that they DID stylize it a bit to get that gritty "zombie gonne get you" feel. In any case, I would take a game like this including it's level of graphics over something really graphically gorgeous but sucked as a game anyday.

The best game on Xbox360/PS3, Deadly Premonition, doesn't have the best graphics either. Who cares, really ?

Sure, they're not the best of best, but they're quite fine for me.

Haha. So true. I never noticed the graphics were bad once. One of the best 3rd party launch games ever! Imo. game play is so fresh.

This is definitely solid graphics by current gen standards. At times the scenery/lighting filter work wonders, but it definitely could have been a bit better. That said I'd take the exciting touch screen integration over sharper graphics any day. (alot of the graphics are quite good, especially environmental graphics even though they are static)

Despite being a launch game, i think the graphics used were done on purpose (not a lack of power on the wii U's behalf) and it perfectly fits this game. It's supposed to be dark gritty spooky etc. Whether you like that or not is up to the player of course. One thing i don't like is the glare you can get (as if you're *always* looking through a camera) can be a little annoying. It's very difficult to portray "beatiful graphics" with the scenario that is depicted in ZombiU. I mean this isn't exactly Avatar. ;)
