Tip for the very end (Spoiler, duh)

I've just completed the game on normal mode and I've noticed on this board and on YouTube that many people seem to be having trouble in the post-credits bit.

Some tips (well, this is how I did it anyway. I was pretty bad at the game, dying a lot, but the end wasn't a problem with this strategy)

1. Until you get to the big gates: Don't rush, the helicopter will wait for you. Just take out a few zombies, then run to the next area, take out a few more, etc.

2. When you reach the gates, just run through pushing zombies out of the way and maybe shooting the occasional one if you need to.

3. When you see the final stairs to the helipad, STOP! Throw a flare onto the helipad, wait a bit for them to gather round, then throw a grenade. You can then casually saunter onto the helipad and be picked up by it without a massive horde chasing you.

I hope that helped some of you. :)

(and another tip for anywhere else in the game that involves exloders: go to multiplayer mode and practise killing them. They can't bite you because of their oxygen mask, so there is no need to panic! Just shove them off, then headshot them.)

I found the easiest thing to do was just go slow.

There is no time limit, no rush, no infinite horde.

My brother, armed with crossbow, cricket bat, and assault rifle, killed every single zombie on his way out.

Every bolt found a zombie head and he retrieved them all, even taking the time to shoot "bodies" at a distance as, even if it's never a zombie, you can still retrieve the ammo from the body.

He used the assault rifle in ONE dorway where a riot zombie and a regular zombie charged him. He shot off the helmet and decapitated the riot zombie before tearing the head off the other one.

When he reached the helepad, there was one riot zombie, so he ran up with the cricket bat to knock his helmet off, and while he was busy smacking him around, the cutscene activated and he escaped for the A grade ending.

That sounds a lot calmer and more easy going! :)

As I started out on this last bit of the game, I tried it like that.

But once I reached the gates my nerves suddenly went to pieces, I panicked a little, and just ran for it, pushing them out of the way.

Until I saw the helipad, then I did my flare+grenade move and got the good ending. Phew, exciting.

Yup, it gets stressful, which is what they try to do, MAKE you panic. in the end, they are just trying to rattle your nerves and make you slip up.

Sure the morons may be screaming at you to speed up, but if you are smart, you'll ignore them.

Basically, if you don't see a clock ON the TV screen, you don't need to hurry.

But I've also found that during some passages of the game it is easier to run through. Just make sure you always have a decent gun, flare and grenade for emergencies.
