freezing on load up

just got this game in and already I got a freezing problem, I downloaded the updated and tried to load the game from the wiiu menu but the game freezes after I start it up (freezes with music running on the first screen with the british guard infected in the rain with big ben in the background)

tried deleting uplay and the update and redownloading the update and no dice, any ideas what to do?

I think he meant the game. If so it may have corrupted while downloading and you would have to delete and redownload.

no, I have the disk for the game. and everytime I click start on the wii U control pad it goes into the load up screen and then freezes, no buttons respond and powering down doesn't work unless I unplug the wii U

Do you have any other games? Try those to see if they load fine. If not, your Wii-U may have a problem. In which case you could return it if you are close enough to when you bought it, or you could call Nintendo customer service and they can repair it. (You will have to send it in.)

I have nintendoland (got the deluxe bundle) and it loads with no problem

gonna try disabling my wifi connection and see if that helps

Any update on this situation?

I have the exact same problem. Got the WiiU + ZombiU bundle, and ZombiU just stops at the splash screen and does nothing.

I also bought NSMBU and it works perfectly, so it doesn't seem to be a problem with disc reading.

Any help?

Seems to be a disc issue.

I got the disc replaced and the game works fine now. The original wasn't scratched, dusty or anything. I guess I just got a bad one. :(
