Sorry if this has been asked before, but was curious, it would make the competitive aspect that much better if I could compete with high scores with friends I don't get to see in person often.

Half of the people or more can't download the update and so don't have any of the online features (myself included).

You'll have better luck in a day or two unless you are really lucky today.
