Are you getting misses on any particular parts?

If you're missing simple commands, your trouble may just be with keeping to the rhythm. Listen to the beat and count until it's your turn.

If you're having trouble with getting inked, you can use a wii remote to prevent the ink so you don't have to reverse your controls. This might be worthwhile even if you don't have a second player.

If you're having trouble remembering complex moves (for example, when both arms are changing position each beat) try to find ways to simplify what you need to remember, like recalling the shape of the arms instead of "up" or "left".

All of the game is memory, quick reactions, and keeping the beat. If you're weak in any of these areas, the game is going to stay hard for a while. Just keep practicing, and I'm sure you'll start getting better!

Did you know you can interact with the octopus on your gamepad screen and shrink him by rapidly tapping on him to make the octopus spit smaller ink.. Pretty helpful, but it may cause a little delayed timing with the dances.

If you're just trying to get the star, sometimes if you're lucky all the moves needed are really easy to remember.

My tip is get lucky that the game doesn't throw a lot of hard dance moves at you in one game. Each time you play, a different set of dance moves are thrown at you. No 2 games are the same...I think. I managed to get a easy enough set of moves that allowed me to finish final stage with 2 hearts left and I started that stage with 4 hearts.

My only problem with this game is my accuracy with the control stick. I'm often slightly off the correct direction. I usually get an OK for each set of moves. If I had control pads, I think I could get to the extra song, then lose. With the control sticks, I can only get to song 3 before I lose. I think I just need to practice a lot to get the correct directions more consistently. Is this an odd problem?
