in desperate dash, i always make it to the boss at full health, destroy both cheeks at full health WITH my power up, but that spiked ball...... it's too big and too fast and i get hit by it trying to reach him, i am unable to use the TV most of the time and am playing solo, and the stupid pikmin AI loses it's fist at the very first attack, i am lvl 10 and the pikmin is lvl 5, i am not trying to master rank, also is it possible to master rank all levels as Olimar solo?, i know the first level works anyway...... So can anyone help me beat the Tranlucent ******* Wollywog?.

I've been trying to master them with Olimar and I've done them all but the last level, which I'd imagine is also possible.

When he has the spike-ball-tongue-thing, hitting him from behind with the rocks you get from the question marks can stun him, which can give you the opportunity to get your pikmin on top of it, and stun it with another rock before he wakes up, taking care of it quickly.

However, stunning it requires luck and seems inconsistent. You could try using blue pikmin so that they can run through the water quickly, and when the enemy does his first tongue attack of three, run to the left or right and jump to increase your speed, and keep doing that until he's done his third one, and attack him til he starts again.

Good luck.

i beat him, but now monochrome pinchipede....... his second form is immpossible and i think the greater..... mace..... thing... baub is immpossible to beat without being hit (first form was easier than cake) as well as his bladed counterpart only attacking ME, and attacking ME without a 1/10000000000 of a seconds break, help?.
P.S. slight exaggeration about break moments.

For the pinchipede I find that the punch upgrade works well for the first two forms of the boss, but doesn't work too well on the last.

To avoid the boss' pincers, jumping perpendicular to direction he's moving in usually works, and then jumping further away from him so you'll be far enough away to dodge his next advance.

You could risk using the punch upgrade and lasting as long as you can on the last stage focusing on survival, or use the whip upgrade. When you get to the last form using the whip, your best bet is to resummon your pikmin and get as many pikmin as you can onto the pinchipede before he starts moving, and then focusing on surviving until they die, since they won't fall off. Jumping out of the way helps for surviving against the pinchipede.

For the sword baub the whip upgrade works well. He'll only attack once or twice slowly in the first form, and you have to break one of his domes to move onto the next one. For avoiding his swords it works well to stay as close to him as you can when he's doing his regular slashing attacks, and then after his third attack getting him from behind. You'll have to run away when he does the spin attack, and this is a good opportunity to regather your pikmin and try to get them on him again.

What's the fiery fists of pain?

It was a jokey name for the baub with clubs for arms, and do you have any playing as pikmin strategies for the two greater baubs?.

I've mastered all of the levels with Olimar solo now, so it's definitely possible. :)

I am not sure if having a team of people makes the levels easier or not, but when I played with five people the levels seemed to be really easy. We pretty much blasted through them.
