Did you guys use your index finger, or the stylus to throw the ninja stars?

For some reason, when I am trying to draw those symbols for the scrolls, the gamepad doesn't respond at all sometimes. Am I not pressing hard enough on the gamepad?

*Sigh* The stamp would be so much easier if my gamepad would respond to the symbols that I am trying to draw...

I used stylus after learned of my clumsy finger throw. Just practice registering the glow dot each five minutes to help you feel comfortable to throw the items.
