Black screen ? normal ?

I played Metroid on Nintendo Land and i got a black screen in the middle of action. My WiiU turned off without lights reappearing and reappeared after a few mins. It did that two times by far. Is it normal ?

Did the console actually completely shut off? Or did the screen just go black and come back on right where you left off? If so I've seen this happen a few times, and I'm pretty sure its just the HDMI handshake. If your console actually reset however.... That's a different issue....
