I only have this and 2 other stamps to get to finish all of the single player awards. Unfortunately, I've left the hardest 3 to the end (this, perfect race from f-zero and perfect flight from baloon trip). Now, I understand what needs to be done for the other 2 stamps but I'm trying to find out the exact rules for this stamp. I know you must defeat every ninja that appears in the extra missions and I know you don't have to play the whole thing without taking damage. I don't however, know if you have to take out EVERY ninja or if there is only a certain point where you can take damage (perhaps only in the standard missions).
If someone could help me out it would be much appreciated.
You have to kill every ninja that appears. Normal and Extra.
This means you don't have to break pots and reveal ninjas on the bonus stage, you don't have to break the trees down in the first area and reveal the red ninja and also you can take as much damage as you like.
If you need a guide to help you, I have just recently done it and its still fresh in the back of me head.
Also for F-Zero use the brake, this makes it so easy. Its not as hard as you think.
"Press the touch screen to use"
Balloon Fight is just practise, just be careful carrying packages when the spikes are charged with lightning. Use the big fish as much as possible if you can for power ups.
You complain Nintendo doesn't do 1080p. Can I complain your console doesn't do 1440p+ ?
Thanks a lot for clearing that up.
I started doing the co-op missions recently but I still need the f-zero stamp. The closest I got was when I finished all 24 areas but hit a single car in area 22 (10 in extra). I'll try it again another time.
I managed to get the Balloon Trip stamp a few days ago and I noticed that the difficulty of Flawless Flight isn't much different from Island Hopper. So, for those who need it, I highly recommend gettting them together. Like you said, all you need is practice. Each try will probably be further than the last and you'll be able to memorise what's coming better and better. Kind of like Ninja Castle... except it doesn't leave you with a sore wrist.
I'll try to explain where I am with the stamp now. I don't have a problem with any part of the first scene. I manage to collect a scroll from the first bit while trying to avoid triggering the red ninja.
Scene 2, I use a scroll (normally the one that causes slow motion) to take out the horde of green ninjas that cover the roof. Now, there can be two problems in this scene. First, the last 3 (I think) ninjas that run across just before the black ninja sometimes are too fast for me and second, I sometimes forget about the pink ninja in the vase in the back.
I break all the pots with triple throwing stars and move on to scene 3. Again, I use the triple stars to kill the load of blue ninjas. I can't seem to take out the first 6 ninjas in the dark and the 5 that rise as shadows in the back at the same time without using a scroll. Which means I struggle with the next bit with the red ninjas due to a lack of scrolls.
The rest is pretty foggy as I've only finished the extra levels about 4 times due to constant restarts but I do know that I find the first part of scene 1 really difficult because I'm not sure when to use my scrolls (I have 4 or 5 at this point). I've completed the second part of scene 1 with one scroll and no ninjas escaping but it might have been luck.
Sorry for the giant paragraphs but if you have any tips, I would really like to hear them.
I'm working on this stamp too. I've gotten to the last scene without missing a ninja only once, but I ended up choking and all my shurikens came out too slow or veered off to the side uselessly. I hate the shooting controls in this game.
Got it. The key is to maintain good throwing execution. Those slow halved-damage shots can end a run at any time. Another key is to use a pillow on your lap or something to support the gamepad and steady your aim.
Always go for them in the order they appear, and if you mess up and throw a shuriken too slowly and notice your target didn't die, drop what you're doing and finish him before moving on. Same thing if they block your shuriken with their own. Don't take too long aiming dead center on the ninjas. The shurikens home in on anything near the cursor, so abuse that for faster kills.
As for the scrolls, you definitely want to save as many as possible for the final scene before the last boss, as it's the most unforgiving. I only use two before then (aside from the bonus rounds) - one in phase two where there's a long straight line of blue ninjas, and one at the end of that scene where 12 ninjas line up in groups of 4 on the floor and roof.
Once you make it to the last scene before the boss, it's very easy as long as you have a ton of scrolls. Spam triple stars nonstop, from start to finish. There's two more scrolls in the last room (one in the wall, one in the left vase), so you don't have to worry about conserving them any more. Just keep spamming them til you run out and do your best to pick off the last batch of ninjas.
Here's a video I recorded if you want a visual: http://youtu.be/cryyVF6IV48
Nice work! It seems I have quite a lot of practice ahead of me but I'm sure I'll get there in the end.
Finally got the stamp! That makes all 80 :) What's strange is that I ended up with an identical score to yours, 10,090! To add to the strangeness, I took out less ninjas (493 I think). I suppose it doesn't really matter as long as I succeeded.
That's a weird coincidence, heh. Congrats on getting 100%. I finished up my stamps a couple of days ago too. All except the Metroid land battle ones, because I don't have a second motion+ remote. Oh well. I thought the Takamaru game would take the longest to finish, but the F-Zero one ended up taking me way more attempts to perfect. After those, Balloon Trip was the only game left and I got done with it within an hour. It's so much easier and more forgiving than the other games.
