zelos71Posted 12/11/2012 9:22:57 AM | I don't know about you but I like my games to run at 60fps and if they don't it seriously takes a great deal of fun out of the game for me. If I turn off game-mode on my TV and enable LED MotionPlus then it's running smooth as butter and is so pleasant to look at - but it's unplayable if I do that because there's some significant input lag. So all I can do is play in game-mode where I get distracted by the non-60fps-framerate.
Anyone else like this? And please don't tell me you can't see a difference. 60fps is much smoother and just better than everything below that when it comes to games. |
T3H_1337_N1NJ4Posted 12/11/2012 9:29:33 AM | I can see the difference very well. That doesn't make me think it's unplayable at 30 FPS though. Play a few tracks, you'll get used to it. --- To err is human, but to really screw things up you need a computer! NNID: CodenameGreyFox |

I like the game and I'm having fun but I have seen how much better it could look without juddering and that's what's really holding me back. |
T3H_1337_N1NJ4Posted 12/11/2012 11:43:14 AM | By the way, you're gonna have a heart attack when you play the Rogue's Landing or the Samba de Amigo Classic track. That's where the frame rate really drops. --- To err is human, but to really screw things up you need a computer! NNID: CodenameGreyFox |
wiseguy100Posted 12/11/2012 2:44:57 PM | TC, think you might be a little confused about frame rates. It's something built into the game not something you control. In fact not that many games run at 60fps. Majority of games run at 30fps. --- 360 gamertag, PSN ID and Wii U - wiseguy100 |

Works on movies too. But it's really weird to watch a movie with that option on since we're used to the 24fps in movies. For example I played Xenoblade (30fps) with that option on so it would look smoother. Looked much better. --- To err is human, but to really screw things up you need a computer! It's just the thought that it could be so much smoother and yet isn't. I also hated playing PAL versions on my PSOne once I knew that NTSC was running much smoother. Most of the time I just play with the input lag from the artificial frame but in a racing game that's not that good of an idea. :P |

I wasn't saying it looks the same as 30fps was i. you seem to be confusing 60fps with 60hz, judging from your PAL/NTSC comment. --- 360 gamertag, PSN ID and Wii U - wiseguy100 |
