Also remember that you can play on the gamepad only even when wifi racing so that convenience is there.

Note that the online for this version (and I've heard for the other versions as well although I cannot confirm this) has lots of problems though. It can take almost 15 minutes of trying to get into a lobby without a connection error. From my experience, though, once you're in the lobby, connection errors are very very infrequent. The ability to play on the Gamepad is a huge plus though.

How do you do that? I played the demo & it showed the mini map on the pad screen .

Tap on the gampad screen then slide your finger down.
