I just can't do it. I managed to do the non-mirror one but I beat it by.003. I was extremely lucky and knew I wouldn't be able to do it again when I got to the mirror version of the track. Does anyone have any advice or something? what characters did you guys use and with which mod?

You just have to practice, man! I stopped concerning myself with time attacks once I got my triple star license. I beat only the Hard ghosts for the mirrored tracks (and those came on the first shot, so it was a quickie), although I did beat all of the expert ghosts for the normal tracks.

Well good for you. But it doesn't answer my question.

For time attack I mainly use Shadow with Dreamcast mod. Five speed and five boost.

For Adder's Lair, try and maximize your speed inside the cave during the plane section by risk boosting off the pillars. You should also take the right side path after the bridge to avoid hitting the roof of stone snake's mouth. When you reach the large jump during the boat section make sure you begin your drift before you make the jump so you can take the next two turns without bumping into any of the walls.

That last part is hardest to me.

Yeah, it took me many tries to do the final section flawlessly. Keep practicing, you'll get it eventually.

Where do you use your boost?

I used it on the wooden drawbridge before the cave. I couldn't find many other places to use it without colliding against the walls.

Another tip I can give you is that you can stack boosts from various different techniques. For instance, if you initiate a drift and build it to level one, release it while driving over a boost pad, and use a boost item all at the same time it will count as a level three boost. Using this trick, you can actually gain a level four boost that you can't get just from drifting.

The best way to take advantage of this trick on Adder's Lair is to drift before any big jump, perform as many stunts as possible, and release the drift as soon as you land to combine your drift boost with your stunt boost.

Edit: I also have a video that should help you greatly. It's a speedrun of Adder's Lair done by a developer at Sumo. It's on the normal track, but the same tactics apply to mirror as well, just done in the opposite direction of course.

A Simple recommendation for boosts is to use it as you cross the line before you start one of your "Fast Laps", giving you a nice boost at the start of the run, and you still have a boost to use during the lap.

Max Speed and Max Boost are the ways to go, Vyse Super Speed or Sonic Super Speed give them 6 Speed so I advise you look into them.

Thanks a lot everybody. I'm now working on Time Attack Mirror Roulet Road. If anyone can help me there it'd be greatly appreciated.
