I mean would it really be that bad an idea? --- If age is just a number, why can't grades be the same?

Takes away the challenge. You could deploy your ships to places where you will have an advantage. This way there is some challenge and requires more thought to the strategies that you use. Also, it makes writing a FAQ easier if everyone starts off in the same place.

Because then you could just put your ship behind the main enemy and bumrush him on your first turn. Conversely, is it that bad that you can't? --- "invade some poor sap and jihad bomb him" - LazyKenny
No what I meant was that you could use Space only ships on Earth stages.Sorry for the misunderstanding English isn't my first language. --- If age is just a number, why can't grades be the same?

It makes me wonder as well...
I love the Dogos Gear but that thing is space only. It's not like warships break the game so I really don't know what's so bad about it. Make it a premium part, expensive but accessible. --- I fancy blonde girls

That's why I just use the Minerva... Wish they did have apart like that, some of the Space and Ground/Air only ships are actually pretty decent. --- XBox Live: Tinklyknight (Not Gold at the moment due to various reasons)

I mean there's really no real reason they can't just give us something like that. How will something like deploying Ptolemy1 on earth unbalance the gameplay? --- If age is just a number, why can't grades be the same?

It's a lot to ask considering they can't even make some characters playable like Athrun CE73 (ZAFT), Yzak Joule CE73, Dearka Elthman CE73, and a lot others... Even though all the voice samples and stats are here...

While I understand where you're coming from, the developers are sticking to the source material. If the source material says it can't fly, then it can't fly. Also, can you imagine something that has no Anti-Grav unit and no aerodynamic shape to it to fly in atmosphere. Granted we're talking about universes where the rule of cool applies and there are giant robots flying around but you've got to stop somewhere :)
